The paper focuses on Aristotle’s central protreptic argument in the Protrepticus. That argument turns on the nature and the value of wisdom. Clarifying the former requires clarifying the nature of knowledge. Clarifying the latter requires clarifying the nature of goodness and how comparison of the relative values of two or more things if possible.
